Trained by Chris Waller
Soul Of Spain is Chris Waller's second string in the 2026 Melbourne Cup, an Irish-bred stayer with Tommy Berry booked and 54.5kg.
He's the draw winner of the longshots: barrier 5 has produced nine Cup winners, including Knight's Choice in 2024. At $51 in the market at the draw, the gate alone makes him worth a second look.
