Racehorse profile
Trained by G. Waterhouse & A. Bott
Southern Speedster is a progressive galloper from the powerful Waterhouse & Bott stable, whose recent form line (2-1-1-3) reads like a horse knocking on the door of a feature race.
The stable's Sydney base suits horses that peak through the autumn, and a last-start third against stronger company reads well when the class drops. Watch for market support on wet tracks — the stable rarely starts short ones without reason.
Live fields, barrier draws and best available prices update every 60 seconds on our racing today page, and every result lands on results today with full dividends. For the bigger picture, see today's tips and odds comparison.
A horse is only as good as the team around it. Explore the jockey profiles for the riders booked on today's card, the track guides for venue biases, and our betting guides for how to price a runner properly.
Southern Speedster is trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, one of Sydney's most successful partnerships, based at Randwick.
The most recent form line reads 211-3 — two wins and a placing from the last four starts, typical of a stayer on an upward spiral.
