Melbourne's Metre-Man
Melbourne
Craig Williams is one of the most durable and respected riders of the modern era. A Melbourne premiership rider and multiple Melbourne Cup winner, he is famous for his strength in a finish — horses find a metre under him that they don't find under anyone else.
Williams rides with fierce competitiveness and a trademark long, grinding drive. He's a fixture of the Melbourne spring carnival and one of the most reliable big-meeting riders in the country.
Every mount booked for Craig Williams appears in the rides list below as fields are declared, with race time, distance and venue. Fields refresh every 60 seconds, so late bookings and scratchings appear as soon as stewards announce them. For the full field, barriers and live odds for each race, open the meeting on our racing today page.
A leading jockey's booking moves markets — but the best price is rarely at one bookmaker all day. Compare the odds on each mount on our odds comparison, read the form with our form guide explainer, and see how today's selections fit the wider picture on the tips page.
