The Doomben winter carnival runs through May and June, headlined by the Doomben 10,000 and Doomben Cup before attention shifts to Eagle Farm for Stradbroke Day.
Doomben's home straight is 314 metres β short by metropolitan standards β which is why the track rewards tactical speed and front-running horses.
