About Eagle Farm

Eagle Farm is Queensland's premier racecourse and the home of the Brisbane winter carnival's biggest day β€” Stradbroke Day in June. The wide, galloping 2027-metre circuit with its enormous 434-metre straight is one of the fairest tests in the country, giving every horse ample time to wind up.

Rebuilt and re-profiled in 2015–2017, the modern Eagle Farm surface plays genuinely and rarely shows a strong bias, though wide barriers in big fields still concede ground. The $3 million Stradbroke Handicap is the highlight, supported by the Queensland Derby and Doomben Cup during the carnival.
