About Wentworth Park

Wentworth Park, nestled on the Glebe foreshore just minutes from the Sydney CBD, is the spiritual home of NSW greyhound racing. Its tight 457-metre circuit has launched countless champions, and Saturday night meetings under lights remain a Sydney institution more than 85 years after the first greyhound meeting in 1939.

The track's short straight and sharp turns make early speed the most prized attribute — greyhounds who begin cleanly from the boxes dominate the feature races. Group 1 events including the Golden Easter Egg and National Derby are staged here each year.
