Today's Horse Racing Across Australia

This page lists every Australian thoroughbred meeting racing today, updated continuously from official racing data. Each meeting card shows the track, state, number of races and the time of the next jump in your local time. Select any meeting to open the full race card — fields, barriers, weights, jockeys, trainers, recent form and current fixed odds for every runner.

Australian racing runs almost every day of the year. Midweek cards are typically provincial and country meetings, while Saturdays bring metropolitan racing at tracks like Flemington, Randwick, Eagle Farm and Morphettville — the deepest fields, the strongest form references and the biggest betting pools of the week.

Times shown are jump times — the scheduled start of each race. Fields can change right up to race time, so check scratchings before betting: late withdrawals change the market and can trigger deductions on already-placed bets. For guidance on reading a race card, see our form guide explainer, and compare prices on every race via today's odds.

Looking for a particular state? Jump straight to racing in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, SA or WA — each state page lists every local meeting with fields, results and odds links.

Racing Today FAQs

What time does racing start today?
Most Australian meetings begin between 12:00pm and 1:30pm local time, with country meetings sometimes earlier and twilight or night meetings (such as Canterbury or Cranbourne) starting late afternoon. The exact jump time for every race is listed on each meeting card on this page.
How often are today's fields updated?
Race fields, scratchings and odds on this page refresh automatically throughout the day from official racing data, so the meeting list and next-to-jump times reflect the current state of play each time you visit.
What is the difference between metropolitan, provincial and country meetings?
Metropolitan meetings are held at major city tracks and carry the highest prize money and strongest fields. Provincial meetings are at large regional centres, and country meetings cover the rest. Class rises sharply with each tier, which matters when assessing form lines between meetings.
Where can I see the results once races are run?
Every meeting on this page links to its results page, where finishing order, margins, starting prices and dividends appear shortly after each race is declared. You can also browse all of today's results in one place on the Results Today page.
Why do some meetings show fewer races than scheduled?
Meetings can be abandoned or races removed due to track conditions or weather, and trial or jump-out sessions are excluded because they carry no betting. The card shown here reflects the official current program.
