About Quirindi
Quirindi Race Club, in the Liverpool Plains farming district, hosts the Quirindi Cup each February β one of the first big country cups after the summer break. The meeting also anchors the district's famous sprint feature and draws horses from the Liverpool Plains, Tamworth and Upper Hunter stables for a genuine mid-summer racing fix.
Quirindi's tight, turning track is a jockey's course: barriers and early position matter more here than at most country venues, and horses drawn wide without gate speed can give their rivals a winning start. Punters who study the Quirindi barrier stats and the recent form of local hoop-driven winners are consistently rewarded.
