About Cunnamulla
Cunnamulla, on the Warrego River in Queensland's south-west outback, stages some of the most authentic bush racing in Australia. The Cunnamulla Race Club's cup meeting each spring is a pillar of the Queensland Country Cups Challenge, drawing horses, trainers and punters from across the channel country for a day that doubles as a genuine outback social event.
Racing in Cunnamulla is raw and honest: small fields, big hearts, and horses that often travel 500 kilometres or more to get there. The tight country circuit rewards local knowledge β horses proven at Cunnamulla and neighbouring tracks carry that form with them β and the Country Cups Challenge points system means every placing counts toward a Doomben final berth.
